T. S. Eliot (nascut Thomas Stearns Eliot en 1888 als Estats Units, mòrt en 1965 a Londres) foguèt un escrivan anglés. Recebèt lo Prèmi Nobel de Literatura en 1948.
En las siás òbras destaca lo suenh formal e las referéncias culturalistas. Enquadrat dins lo New Criticism, pensava que l'art li caliá pas èsser l'expression d'experiéncias personalas mas lo trabalh sus simbòls universals.[1]
