Toni Morrison (nascuda Chloe Anthony Wofford, lo 18 de febrièr de 1931), es una escrivana americana qu'a recebut lo Pulitzer en 1988 (per Beloved) e lo Prèmi Nobel de literatura (en 1993). Es tanben professora.
Estudièt la literatura anglesa a Howard University (B.A. en 1953) e a Cornell University (M.A. en 1955).
En 1958, se maridèt amb Harold Morrison (an dos mainatges). Divorcièt en 1964.
Escriu sobre la literatura negra.
