Siouxsie and the Banshees
Siouxsie and the Banshees èra un grop rock anglés, originari de Londres, en Anglatèrra, format en 1976 e dissolgut en 1996. Sos fondadors foguèron la cantaira Siouxsie Sioux (de son nom vertadièr: Susan Janet Ballion) e Steven Severin. Eissits de la scèna punk anglesa, Siouxsie and the Banshees evolucionèron lèu, e en fasent aital, venguèron emblematics dels sosgenres de rock apelats pòstpunk e gotic.
Venguèron alara una influéncia màger per de grops de la new wave coma Joy Division e The Cure, que son amb Siouxsie and the Banshees a l'origina del son particular del rock gotic.
Siouxsie and the Banshees se separèron en 1996.
