Naming of the sea

[Modificar lo còdi]

Bon jorn! Just a question: Does the sentence "La mar de Japon o mar de l'Èst es una mar situada a l'oèst de l'ocean Pacific, [...]." mean, that both names are used in a similar way? mercé Valentim 15 de set de 2008 a 20:50 (UTC)

The answer and explanation are given in occitan in the article's last part (Bregas sul nom) and also now in english in the references. Coralament. Jiròni 16 de set de 2008 a 08:26 (UTC)
Hello, I have to admid, that my skill to understand occitan is not the best one. All I wanted to say is, that one of the name is still an inofficial one (UNCSGN did neither accept or reject the request) and that it should be noted in the introduction or deleted or mentioned, by which nation it is called differently or whatever to reflect the reality in a *more* proper way...
I know, this is not my home wiki, and I am aware of the different handling of this fact in every wiki. To be honest, I also feel the way, that only people should make changes on the article, who understand the language in which it is written :). Therefore, just take it as "food for thought".
